Federico Cinquetti

Federico Cinquetti was born in Bussolengo (VR) on 2nd March 1978.

Federico’s passion for art was born by looking at the work of Frederck Hunderwasser from which he finds the inspiration for his own work where he moulds a special kind of resin (used in the building industry) in order to create a decorative surface on walls.

Reiventando così la sua professione di posatore di resina per privati, hotel, spazi pubblici, gioca con la materia capendo ben presto che la l’arte sta diventando più di un semplice hobby.

By reinventing in this way his profession of resin decorator for hotels, public spaces and individuals, he played with the material and soon learnt that art became more than a simple hobby.

Federico’s work is created using 99% episodic resin. This is a very malleable material allowing the artist to create three dimensional surfaces which capture the light thanks to the reflections given by the transparency of the colourless resin.

His work is a true and real metaphor of the anxiety of mankind, of the muddled state of the artist’s mind, and similarly each of us, as we find ourselves trapped when certain situations arise requiring a difficult decision. "The evolution that I see is the sadness that comes out from my work, the more it comes out, the more I face my weaknesses, the more I express them in my work, as by feeling trapped I have been inspired to produce webs”.
