Matteo Gironi

Matteo Gironi was born in Verona in 1973.

From a child he was drawn to all types of art forms, taught by his father, who was passionate about art.

After having studied at technical college and then at the IUAV in Venice, he gained his degree in architecture in 2003. During these years he poured out all his expressive urgency into music, writing and recording experimental tracks.

After his degree he worked as a designer in two architectural studios, designing schools, small squares and buildings in general. In all the work he has carried out he tries to apply the themes that will finally end up in his artistic work.

After several years of working he decided to create something that was “his” in the world of design or art. From this moment on he has undertaken a task which will absorb all his energy: by a chance discovery of the medium of felt he has found an opening for his creative possibilities
